Birders,
This is too funny and I hope word does not get out to the general
public or we might be unindated with hunters, but I cannot resist to tell
you. Yesterday I talked to a hunter who had tried all day to get a
gobbler. Right now there are SEVEN gobblers in our back yard! They started
coming because of the mixed grain I cast out on the ground for certain
smaller birds and for the sunflower seed that the doves (mostly) knock off
the feeders. Sometimes there is one huge one, sometimes 3, but today seven
and the gang of three think the other four are intruders. This morning I
heard two separate Yellow-breasted Chats. They seem to be late. Good
birding to all.
