The three sandhill cranes are back! Actually I doubt they ever left but
were "hiding". This morning just after six they were feeding in Pool 2 just
off the Blue Goose auto tour loop. They were not seen there after lunch.
There are plenty of mudflats around for shorebirds, but they are few and far
between. Killdeer outnumber all other speceis combined.
