Radnor Lake
Davidson Co.
Without a cold front to boost numbers, today's NTOS Wednesday Walk at Radnor
Lake wasn't as frenetic as last week, but we had some quality sightings.
Highlights included another early Red-breasted Nuthatch, 2 Yellow-bellied
Flycatchers, 2 Gray-cheeked Thrushes (one singing), 5 species of vireos, and 13
warbler species including a very confiding male Golden-winged that we watched
for 15
minutes, and an Ovenbird walking around on the grass beside the ranger's
house. Only 1 Redstart after having so many lately.
