First thing...if the hardware doesn't not have any built-in thermometers,
software won't help. Most of the new server class hardware can monitor
temperature. What brand servers do you use?

We recently had a problem with our cooling and our server temps went
through the roof.

Does anybody know of software monitoring utilities that will check
cpu/m-board temps and send alerts if they reach a threshold?
