[THIN] Password Manager

I am confused about this product in some points. For the database that
hosts the users passwords, as far as i undestand you need either Novell
share location or Windows Share location or Active directory (Extending the
schema). How would the active directory stores users passwords ???
If anyone understand it very well, please exaplin.
