I've seen this when I enabled speedscreen for our office apps. The text
wouldn't appear until there was a brief pause in typing. Scrapping
speedscreen for the apps fixed it for us. The end users with slower
connections preferred a slight delay for each character rather than a
delay until they paused while typing, which could be 1-2 sentences.=20
I'm pretty sure speedscreen is supposed to display those characters
immediately, but for some reason it wasn't.

then I would guess that it is not a network problem. Do the same MS
applications perform in the same manner when ran at the console itself,
i.e.
is it anything to do with the ICA framework?
