Ken, I show to 'apply pressure on the control panel' and it if returns, solder is the problem. You may have missed some. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fax: 209-882-9602 TechAssist Administration http://tech-assist.org techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 4orpheus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (alternates) orpheuscomputing@xxxxxxxxx pchardware@xxxxxxxxxxxx (PLEASE include previous correspondence if replying to this email!!) ----- Original Message ----- From: <gulftech@xxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 30, 2001 8:58 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Zenith SS6515G, Intermittent Sound Friends, This set has intermittent sound. It's driving me crazy. Once it comes on, will be fine until turned off for awhile. May come back fine, may be no audio for several minutes, may no audio for hours. This is all I know. The audio pcb is fine. When I have no audio, there is no audio going into the module. With no print, I don't know where it is lost. Thought it was the rear-panel switch that selects AUX STEREO/TV, but that idea did not pan out. Am pulling my hair out on this one, but I have little left! I know I am giving little information, but it's all I have. Unit came in dead. I repaired the p/s and all seemed fine. The customer came to pick it up and asked to see it working. It came on with no sound. He said, "Oh, yes, before it died it had no sound." (Nice to tell me then!) While we were talking, the sound came on. This has haunted me for three weeks. A schematic or even a block diagram would be most helpful. All suggestions welcome.
