Thanks again Gary,

I just hope I will be lucky enough to have it act up while
I'm there!  I modified my B&K CRT tester to always apply the
~400 or so volts to G2 (as well as the cathode) when using
Remove Shorts function.

I guess they didn't think that G2 shorts ever happen when
they designed the tester.
So I may as well tap the neck and give it a shot just in
case.
