Jeff, thanks. I put the original gear back in and the unit works. The
new gear is slightly different. Thanks To Panday for telling me the part
number for a kit to take care of this problem. It is Sony part #
A-7040-474-C. The photo in my catalog shows the kit consists of 4 gears
and a slide plate.
