I think your conclusion is correct.  It is not uncommon for the japanese
spec book to NOT show a damper even tho the schematic does show it and
measuring it indicates it has a damper. I did not do a google on these, that
would give more accurate info. I do not have these in stock to measure for a
damper.  As long as the set is working, that's OK, we'll figure it out the
next time.  John.
