In that case, check for surface mounted capacitors in the lines that go from
the FPA connector to the micro or gemstar module. Somethimes they will get
leaky.

Thanks for that reminder as I forgot to include with my post the I did in
fact undo the connector from the top panel controls and there are no
switches on the chassis itself.
