C453 was the problem. I had already replaced this with a new cap
(2.2uf/50v). Replaced it again with a 2.2uf/100v. Maybe the cap was
marked wrong. Don't you just hate return calls because of improperly
stamped components.

Hello All,
 
Replace LA7838 deflection IC along with caps C455 (100uf/25v) and C453
(2.2uf/100v), TV was OK when I left. Customer called backed today,
picture started developing lines on top of screen, slight compression of
picture, think he mentioned black on top. What caps did I miss?
