Jerry i listen when you talk. :)
i finally see the light.
I guess i had a slipping idler then.
I wrongly assumed it was the size that changed my speed.
but i now agree that to change the speed, as in an old clock, 
the large gear would have to have a smaller gear attached to 
its side.
This group is a great place to get an education, even at my age.
