I am not familiar with this problem but have you tried deep mechanics sockets? They are available in single units to replace stripped and broken sockets in sets. They are usualy over 1 1/2 inches long. If you go to Sears they sell an open package type item that can be replaced on its package and returned for credit if it doesn't work. >From: "Damon" <DAMON101@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: "TechAssist" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Subject: [TechAssist] Magnavox and Nutdrivers -IT DOESN'T FIT!! >Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2001 08:58:10 -0500 > >Hello Everybody, > >I recently found out that the new Phillips/Magnavox TVs have made their >recessed 1/4" screw holes so tight that none of my 1/4" nutdrivers will fit >into the holes.
