I would not reset the eeprom on a CTC203 with no audio,  this is not the
same problem that the other older CTC's had.   Usually unpluging the set a
couple of hours resets the audio on the CTC203, if not further
troubleshooting is required.
 The info I have heard is a certain TV network sends a radom bit of info
that locks the mute in the micro.
