[TCUG] Interactive Speed & Queue Signs

I am installing an interactive sign with a dual face to indicate queues and
a crossing . The triangle will be RED, the symbol will be WHITE and the text
currently proposed will be AMBER with 4 flashing amber roundels in the
corners. I understand that you can also have the text as white (slightly
more expensive). Amber does convey a sense of warning although white may
look better.
Does anyone have a preference to the colour of the text or operational
experience of the best colour.
