Just sit on the bus for a while, maybe a Houston contention can work out a way
of coming there and getting it fixed.

There are no VW mechanics in this area. I know the guy is way high on his
price but there aren't many options. I figured 3 hours R&R on the engine
($180) including doing the complete clutch replacement (Type4, 5 bolt
flywheel, no heavy torque gland nut to deal with). He's quoting 5 hours. I
was also figuring 3 hours each side for the bearings for someone unfamiliar
with the vehicle, one again, he's quoting 5 per side.
I have all the parts. New disc, plate, pilot bearing, and throwout
bearing. Wheel bearings will be here in a day or two. I'm just tired of
throwing money at it because I can't get around to working on it myself.
