Hi Mandy.

Thanks for the suggestion. The only problem with that one is the fact that in order to get a proper charge without interruption, you should switch the phone off before charging. Pulling the phone out of the charging cycle early not only causes the incorrect battery reading as the phone is in a low power mode, but can also jeopardise the charging cycle of the battery which can result in incorrect charge reporting which in turn can result in degrading of performance of the battery without full calibration IE discharging and recharging 3-4 times.

With best wishes, Ibrahim

Hi there all, I have the Nokia 6630 and it does also do that but what I do
is pull the charger lead out and then press the Talks key and soft key 2 and
then you will get the correct battery strength, then as soon as you plug the
charger in it goes back to one bar, but it isn't too much of a problem to
pull the charger lead out for a second.

Hello Ibrahim and fellow listers,

No, I don't think this is a Talks bug. the same thing happens with my
Nokia 6600. The battery is at full charge when Talks says 7 bars,
which also indicates full network strength. Maybe someone with some
sight on the list could confirm whether the number of bars scroll
during charging.

Best wishes,
