There are probably some Christian cults who punish their members for religious
offenses but these are a very very small minority. There are some Christian
cults like the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses that try to bring people into
their cult and can be quite annoying and can sometimes seem like they are
trying to force their beliefs on you, but again this is a small minority. When
they come to my door I just tell them to get lost.
When I say that America is a Christian nation I am referring to the Christian
culture and not the religion. Likewise when I refer to Jews I am referring to
the Jewish culture and not the religion.
Cultures share core beliefs, or values. For example a core belief of Christians
is that of forgiveness, whereas with Jews it is revenge. The Founding Fathers,
all of whom were Christians, believed that every human being has certain God
given alienable rights that government cannot take away. Jews do not share this
belief.
For example, most Americans believe in the right to own guns because every
creature has a right to defend itself using every means possible, with no
exceptions. Jews do not believe this and are constantly trying to take this
right away from Americans.
Another example is free speech. Jews are quick to claim the right of free
speech when it comes to things like pornography, but deny it to anybody who
expresses doubts about the veracity of the holocaust story, or anybody who
doesn't agree with them on just about anything.
Free speech means the right to express your thoughts about something so that it
can be discussed openly and the accused have an opportunity to defend
themselves and present their case.

I sincerely hope that I am long gone when we have 50 State Religions.
History reports really (really) bad things happening when this occurs.
If you dare to object to believing in the the story of the talking snake
