Hi all,I would like to further add to this issue of EFB. Having spoken at length to Bob Mold and Celia Smith yesterday; EFB is more widespread than you think. Also bear in mind not all beekeepers are registered with BBKA or Beebase, this is where the problem exists. I would advise all bee keepers to know the signs of EFB , read up on the prevention rather than the cure, to quote Mr Kemp ( A Bee Inspector of many a year) "EFB is a ghost disease it can get better", but only with a strong colony, as they clean out the rubbish,....again those collecting swarms be aware of the risks bringing them into your apiary. As the only beekeeper at Cranwell im sure i would have been told - there is however a concern over EFB in the Sleaford area and inspectors are working with those concerned.
