Hi Stephanie
Before you paste the alto notes, you have to make them to be a second voice.
To do that, select the entire alto staff and press "alt+2"; Now the notes
have the property of second voice and when you paste them, they wan't
overwrite the soprano notes.
And before you paste the tenor voice, you have to make the bass notes become
a second voice. Select all of the bass notes of your piano staff and press
"alt+2". When this is done, you are safe to paste the tenor voice on this
staff.
