Another trick for selecting notes in chords is to use Alt+Control+1, +2, and
+3 to select the first, second and third notes in a chord. Alt+Control+B
selects the bottom note regardless of the number of notes in the chord.
This can be useful if you want to strip all of the highest notes away. Just
select a number of bars on the staff and then press Alt+Control+1. You can
then cut the selected notes and if you want, paste them to another staff to
give you the top line.

Same answer as before. Alt+Up Arrow moves up one note at a time in the
chord, Alt+DownArrow moves one note at a time down in the chord. Each note
is spoken individually as you move. Stop when you hear the note you wish to
remove and press the delete key.
Now if your chords are constructed with notes in different voices you will
need to navigate to each voice separately. Do not use the tab key to move
within a voice; I suggest using the Left and right arrow keys to hear the
note of interest. You can make sure you hear the voice number by adjusting
the verbosity of Sib-access, found in the Ctrl-F1 menu.

I've imported a MIDI file of a guitar piece I'm trying to convert to
woodwind. It has a chord of G4 and G5 at the first position on the stave.
I want to delete the G4.
The manual says in 1.6 Selecting:
If you want to select a particular notehead in a chord, use Alt+3/
I don't get what it means by Alt+3/. When I do this it just tells me I'm
moving to voice 3. That is, I press Alt and the number 3 on the number 3 on
the keyboard. Using the number pad with num lock on and off makes no
difference. Does the slash indicate a control key that hasn't rendered from
the PDF to the text file? Alt+F3 doesn't work either - this is the system
objects dialogue.
Pressing tab selects both notes.
