Hello, Gary, One thing to keep in mind is that each tool is designed to work with a specific set of schematic and/or layout tools in a design flow. For example, HyperLynx supports about 15 or so layout tool formats; on the other hand, its schematic-level (pre-layout) is interactive, with no support for external schematics. The next thing is to consider whether you need advanced features, such as eye pattern displays and PRBS bit patterns.
