Loretta Young's half sister, Georgiana, WAS married to Ricardo
Montalban..they had 4 children.
Loretta, whose real name was Gretchen, had two older sisters, both
actresses...Polly Ann Young and Sally Blayne. Loretta had a daughter
out of wedlock, sired by Clark Gable--he was married at the time. The
girl was raised to believe she was adopted and never knew who her real
father was until she became a mother herself.
Back to the dogs..Franklin Delano Roosevelt also had a German
Shepherd, named Major.
Herbert Hoover had one named King Tut., and Rutherford B. Hayes had two.
Other celebrities who had German Shepherds (but probably didn't breed
them) were/are:
Bing Crosby, Yvonne DeCarlo, Bo Derek (has several), Phyllis Diller,
Shannon Doherty, Mike Douglas, Irene Dunne, Joan Fontaine, Sigmund
Freud's daughter Anna, Eva Gabor, (more than one), Zsa Zsa Gabor, (more
than one), Steffi Graf, George Hamilton, Charlton Heston, Bob Hope had
several, Elton John, Carol Lawrence,
David Letterman, Konrad Lorenz, Robert Ludlum, Bela Lugosi, Pablo
Picasso, Joan Rivers, Gene Roddenberry (creator of Star Trek), Sidney
Sheldon, Talia Shire, Sam Snead, Reggie Williams, and many others.
That stupid Senator Santorum, lest we forget, not only has a German
Shepherd, but he bred her. This after complaining everywhere that she
didn't have a good temperament!
