Therein lies the problem... The *BOARD* is who decided not to use the Standard
to create requirements for the award, not the CLUB!!! I'm sure the comeback
will be, "The Board represents the Club."
Well, when a decision of this magnitude is being considered, I feel it should
be voted on by the members of the Club. Not just Board members.

This is a Club award - and the club can make whatever requirements it wants.
It is not a
standard change, and the Club can decide NOT to use the standard to create

the award whenever it deems it appropriate. If the standard was being used,
then any altered
dog would not be elligible for these awards.
Two whites qualified for Obedience Victress. They were denied the award.
Whites rarely come
to the National to compete in Performance because of this - and they are CLUB
members.
Color of an animal is irrelevant in Performance. It is relevant in
Conformation.
By the standards set, an ILP/PAL dog can get this award - and they might not
even be
purebreds!
