Why bother to show if they are all out of the same "cookie cutter" mold?
IF a dog has more rear angulation or a higher wither and that is what I
need...great
there is one out there.
If a dog is shorter coupled, or has more coat, or a longer stride and that is
what
our bitch needs ....... SUPER. None of us will ever agree completely on what
is a great
croup or length of loin......or a great dog. That's why we have GREAT
DISCUSSIONS!

The only way we would ever have German Shepherd Dogs that all look the same is
if we had a 'Breed Warden' TELLING us what we could or could not do.

Besides, its not the dogs that are not getting competed on all the
different areas, is the owners who are not taking the dogs there.
It takes a lot of planning in our household to do conformation and
herding. 'Cause the fact is, we have to work to pay for those "fun" times.
In Germany, you can take your dogs with you everywhere. In the USA, they
are people trying to take our dogs away from us...(read ARA).
So, we work within our limits and make the best of it.
But yes, we can do a lot better when it comes to supporting each other.
