Yes, it is called sweetbread... however, one must differentiate. Sweetbread
is made from either the thymus (called neck or throat sweetbread) or the
pancreas (called belly sweetbread). You should be able to find them at a
specialty meat shop. It is actually quite tasty, properly cooked :-)

Anatomically, the pancreas is about six inches long and two inches wide,
weighs about 3 ounces, and is situated in the posterior, upper left part of
your abdomen. In the butcher shop this organ is sold as sweetbread (from a
