Sorry about my earlier misunderstanding, Jackie. I know some tooth fairy judges that would put a missing premolar to the back of the line. I would think, depending on the ring (AB or Spec.), the AB judge wouldn't have enough time to hear an explanation (or maybe accept it) of why the tooth was missing. If I were a judge, I couldn't place a dog with a missing molar, unless each dog in the ring had a serious fault and the missing molar dog was the better than those with serious faults. I don't think a handler is going to whip out the vet's letter for the judge while they are being judged. I'm remembering a beautiful animal with 1/2 the ear gone. She had no problem finishing. It was obvious she wasn't born that way.
