[ SHOWGSD-L ] Fun at shows

I have been reading about how the shows aren't fun, anymore. I'm sorry,
but I must disagree. Perhaps those of you that go to a show nearly
every week have become jaded, and should take some time off.
I look forward to any show I can attend. I look forward to the people,
both old acquaintances and new friends, and I certainly look forward to
seeing the dogs! Often it is a challenge for me to get to a show as I
must cross the Sierra Nevada mountains to reach California, where most
of the shows I attend are happening.
I think it is a shame to be involved in the "sport" of dog shows, and
not to enjoy every minute, win or lose.
Just the thought of a possible new, GREAT dog or bitch should be
something to look forward to.
