Bitch slowing down acting "sad/tired" pretty much like last time, but
maybe
a little more, its her 4th litter, she is HIGH energy female, only 5 1/2
yrs
old, carrying very low compared to last litter considering 6 days away
from
"due date"
Bitch didn't eat breakfast and this is very unusual, yet did refuse food
last time before delivering, not sure when it was tho
No discharge So... what's her due date? What is the earliest a litter
can be delivered healthy? Her last 3 litters were all delivered day 61 and
had 6 puppies in
first litter, 7 puppies in last 2 litters. Thanks

I believe the 58th day is the earliest safe day, and I think it would be a
good idea to start keeping a journal of her meals and temps.....
I had a bitch that had 3 litters, 13-11-12, her temp never really changed
dramatically, maybe a couple degrees changes at the most, and she could eat
seconds before whelping, we never had a problem with the whelping.....she
never
made it to 60 days, the litters were too large for her to carry that
long........She was very healthy and took excellent care of the pups, but we
bred
her 2 years apart. I believed it was best for her to be completely recovered
after such large litters.
This bitch is 5 1/2 years old and this is her 4th litter, previous litters
were 6 then 7 then 2......If the x-rays are good, you are looking at 7 to 9
pups, is no wonder after a litter of 2 she is looking "tired", this is a huge
litter compared to the last one. If you started breeding her after 2 years
(for ofa), that is 3 1/2 years for 4 litters. I am sure she is tired.
