Well I know I'm going to really take a "hit" on this one......but I really think sometimes we over analyze and politicize this and always talk about pot dealers and bad guys and discrimination and now terrorists.....but we are talking about dogs killing and maiming our CHILDREN!!! Sometimes their own owners!! How long will we defend this as we continue to lose the battle on dangerous Breed Legislation. Sooner or later we need to stand up and admit there are just some BAD DOGS as well as bad owners. These are not all dogs that are trained to fight and kill.........this Breed was BRED to do that. Thats why they're called Pit Bulls. ( lets not get into the Staffordshire discussion) I'm talking Pit Bulls. Most of the cases are dogs that went directly from play to a kill mode!! Sooner or later we need to stand back and look at the numbers of injuries and deaths per one specific breed....our kids! We're losing this battle..... I had one go from a happy dog playing with it's family at the river about a 100 feet away ......to "locking into" me as I sat with an 8 mos. old pup at the river. The owners were trying to call it back as it made that stiff legged stiff tail approach towards me....unprovoked and with a NICE family.....and totally in another zone as it came at me....didn't even seem to hear it's owners...and the look in it's eyes!! Had my 8 mos. old pup not stood up and threatened it to stay back......causing it to hesitate and finally snap out of it and respond to the owners. So, shoot me now ......
