Max,

To be more precise, these are old negatives, not old film.

I recently found a roll of Tri X from 1972. Is it worth trying to
use it? (36 exposure)

I have some negatives dating from WW1, taken in France and
Germany by my father. Excellent condition. (1917-1919)
