Hmmm on he considerably younger side I had not thought of this nor have I observed it. True, my father ditched his RB kit for Nikon DLSRs is his 70's but he (and my mother) both shoot thousands of images each year. Good heavens, but you do come from long-lived folks! The issue is not the physical side of things, it is just an ennui at taking photographs. What is there to shoot that I have not already documented? Oh, yes, there are always items I have missed but the central point remains: how dull it is to take your thousandth picture of, say, a train engine or of an office building or the like. To me, this day, I have no real interest in taking pictures. Just me, not you, and I am sorry if I seemed to be setting out some sort of Universal Rule. YMMV, as they always say in US car commercials. Despite the bloviations out of Washington, DC, this is a vast universe and everyone does things their own way. Richard would probably be one of the few of our membes to appreciate this, but: 'there are a million stories in the naked city, and this is mine'. <he grins very broadly, getting ready to go downstairs to get another cup of tea.>
