Elias, I am no expert but I guess to get the brightness, you would need a lamp bulb rated at slightly less than 3v - probably 2.5v or 2.75v. A 10% tolerance should be within their specification but expect a reduced life expectancy. If you look at http://www.rswww.com and search for 'E10 lamp' - a number are listed and you can select by base type, voltage, current rating, etc. They have outlets in other countries too. You probably will not be able to buy from RS unless you have an account.
