The only Rolleicords with a letter in their designations are the Ia, Va and Vb, but some collectors use letters instead of talking about different versions, as for the different Rolleicord II. 

Maybe you are talking about the Rolleicord I, type 2, with the 3,8 Triotar?

It was made between December 1934 - August 1936 and 25519 of them were made.

I just bought a Cord Ib with a triotar.  I don't have it yet.  Seller
says lens in uncoated.  What are the dates for the Ib?  (He'd originally
thought it was a Cord II)
