Yea for Auto install!
Between installing Windows and a root canal, I think it's a tossup!!
You make us a real auto installer, Chris, and you'll be our hero forever!

We like to get other stuff out of the way, just to be safe, unplug extra
drives in case windows takes a motion to install to them, you know how
drive id's can get switched around.

I'm hoping by the time I really need to move to 64 bit for good, we'll
have a talking install all the way through like the mac, with the bios
long gone or on the way out 'grin'.

It's time for it to happen.

The configuration on those computers are probably different, drive wise,
which is probably why your xml file isn't working; it's not meant to be a
universal tool, depending on what you used to create it; a lot of
people use
the waik, which is usually system type specific.
If your drive is listed on controller 1-1 or 2-0, and his is on 0-1 or
0-0
or 3-1 for that matter, it won't work... That's why I personally don't do
automated installs, windows doesn't need more power than it already
has over
us!

He's got images someone did for him, but when he tries to use the xml
file
that works for me just fine, it's hanging some place, and we need to get
sighted help to see what's up.

Probably asking for a driver like we think.

Bet if ahci mode were turned off, it'd just go.

I know for sure when installing in place, even with 32 bit w7, it
likes an
ntfs partition to go to, or it'll refuse to go, wanting drivers, but
if you
have an ntfs partition it'll just go.

silly dumb windows 'grin'[.
