In your Phone app, you can add items to your Favorites. Then just double tap
that item and away you go. You don't have to open that person's contact
listing to find the number and tap on it. Just keep your tab set to Favorites
instead of contacts, voice mail, or keypad.

An app called 1 Tap Dial should do this. I can't remember much else
about it, but it gives each number an ikon. there are likely other
options to do this.
