I like that "weights and glue" method. I laughed aloud when the picure popped up on my screen; no offense, it just reminded me of many of the things I've done. There's always a way to "git 'er done" huh?
one of my habits, I hear...I had tried to heat-bend the 1/8" plywood, but it didn't fit in our oven and a torch was too small; if worked fine for my guitar http://rjs.org/guitar/bottom_and_bracing.JPG
http://rjs.org/guitar/loose_assembly.JPG but the much larger seat requires an oven and steam...
It seems like there'd be information on the internet about seat profiles, but I've searched time after time and never really found much. I hope Dirk can set us up with some good height-specific way of determining a profile. Thanks for chiming in on the seat.
you're welcome; I'd be glad to profile-measure me/mine - maybe a table of popular seat curves could be put together like Jürgen's Python table <hint>
I've used http://zunzun.com/ before tooan extra 1/4" in the lumbar over this http://rjs.org/recumbents/images/LWB_assembly.jpg would be perfect for me (I simply added more carpet padding and Dacron there)
