Most of the recipes for making a Rodinal substitute that I have seen have one or more problems. This one says to use a plastic bowl and spoon for mixing the potassium hydroxide solution. Be advised that enough heat may be generated to melt these plastic articles. It would be better to use a Pyrex measuring cup and a glass stirring rod or SS spoon. The resulting concentrate from this recipe is also half the strength of other formulas.
