I have been using a Sinar camera for most of my large format work,
using the Sinar/Copal behind the lens shutter. This shutter is quite
bulky (but fits neatly onto the front standard) and heavy and requires
the lens to be mounted on a special extended lens boards, but it does
feature timed exposures up to 8 seconds, which I have always found
extremely useful. I have always wondered why normal shutters stop at 1
second, but given the current state of the marketplace, it is probably
futile to expect any product development in that direction.
