I think the answer is simple: NO one makes movies for an audience over age 50.
The movie demographics emphasize the under-25 or, at most, under-30 crowd - the
ones they can influence to buy Buy BUY the products they place in the sets.
(And who are foolish enough to, on a regular basis, pay the outrageous ticket
prices for [90% of the time] a mediocre, at best, film.)
