   The two products are for a similar purpose but are 
different. Sistan contains Ammonium thiocyanate and a 
wetting agent. I think the wetting agent is there because 
sistan is intended to be the last bath the film or paper 
gets but it may be needed for some other purpose.
   I don't know what is in Ag-Guard. I believe Ryuji Suzuki 
said there is a patent covering it which includes formulas 
but I don't have the patent number. Being patented would 
prevent you from making it anyway unless Fuji is willing to 
license you. I don't think AgfaPhoto is going to go out of 
business anytime soon despite the recent stories. Neither 
will Fuji but they don't seem interested in marketing their 
chemistry in North America.
