Further to yesterday's experiment I tested odorless sepia toner : 1) Overnight odorless toning of partially fixed RC print 2) 2,4, 8 and 10 minute odorless toning of fully washed and RC print 3) Overnight odorless toning of fully fixed and washed RC print 1) Overnight patch was slightly darker than 8 min patch on partially fixed RC print 2) Even 'perfect' processed print showed some minor staining by odorless toner after a few minutes toning. 3) Extended odorless toning of 'perfect' print showed slightly more staining In all cases the toner left a slight stain. My guess is that the toner might be actually staining the gelatine.
