that's what there deciding on, we used to have a dedicated sight, blindprogramming.com, but it got closed out and the name lost to us, so there discussing a new place and name now,

The problem is the site needs to be dedicated to it. If we have a portion
of the site here and there we will have what we have now. What I will do
even if it means I put it up on my Amazon server is dedicate the entire
site
to it and make it a wiki based one. If Jamal already has this set up I
don't want to re-work it. If though people want to see this site back I
will purchase one of the available web pages and if someone has all the
old
stuff put it up instantly and change it over to a wiki slowly the way it
should have been done. If no one has anything to work from then I guess I
can start fresh. Unless again someone else is already doing this.

ok, I skipped a few posts on this line due to some troubles, a note here
the

former owner did this, switched to a wikki and that is when the blind
programming site went flat on its nose then we lost the site and then the
site name
I will assist where possible, but I have to wonder if this try will do any 
better than the first one did?

Definitely no deficiency, but it requires Jamal to handle putting all the 
content online himself. Same for Elf with his site. This way the
community



can directly effect the site's content, which will probably lead to more
relevant and up to date information. Swell idea, I think.

programming a permanent home if people think it's a good idea. We could

the email list from there in fact we could run multiple and we could

I think it's the only way to go, Ken. Drupal is powerful enough to
host anything from a simple website to a large online community,
accessible both in terms of its administration& useability,& is
perfectly suited for something like this.

I've partnered w/a web developer friend of Mine, Elise Lonsdale,&
used drupal to make

We've found it to be a rewarding venture in terms of the way Drupal
works. It does have somewhat of a steep learning curve initially, but
I think that's the same w/all web development. Elise says it's a lot
easier than other CMS's she's worked with. My vote is, if u can get
it, we should do it.

alright, sounds great, as I said in my post, I would do the work, but
my
time is getting squeezed out of existence, adding one page link will be 
no
trouble, its the maintenance and such that would wring me out.

I'll send you a blanked body page so all the color and other stuff
matches
the site, and you just fill in the body, I usually use H2 headers for a section like changing from the C section to the C++ one, and h3 for sub divisions within a section myself, but as long as it's navagateable its 
great.

I would be willing to write the page. I can send it to you and you
could link it to your site. I don't have website hosting at the
moment or I'd do it. It would make much more sense to place it in a
frequented site like yours or the blind developers' site though.
Could structure it by giving each language a heading with links to the 
corresponding tutorials in an unordered list. Make it quick to
navigate that way. Would also make sense to link any editors, ide's
and compilers within it as well so it's a one-stop experience. I
think this would make for a flexible format because if someone wants
to let us know about a link to tutorials for a language we don't have, 
all we have to do is add a heading for it

Any thoughts?
