A valid point however, for home use, I'm sure printing on regular
paper is ok. That doesn't require as much force. Besides, parts are
smaller these days and I'm sure a lot of those big embossers are still
using methods that could benefit from updating. That usually
translates to a lwoer price. Still, embossers are not as expensive as
braille displays so, that's not as big a deal to me. Refreshable
braille is just out-freaking-rageous. (Pardon my french, I am a latin
man, hehheh.)

Anyway, I am in no way putting speech technology down nor, heaven
forbid, narrated audio books. Some of my most enjoyable moments have
been spent sitting on the couch with a pair of headphones and an NLS,
RFB or some other brand of audio book in my ears while my face took on
that faraway look my wife says makes me look like I'm "spaced out and
in La-La land." I just wish braille enjoyed the same wide use it did
when I was a kid. Back then, (God, do I feel old! I'm only 34!),
back then, I say, learning braille was just non-negotiable.
