There is also a cross platform Python module for text to speech under Windows, Gnu/Linux and Mac OS X. From the web page: pyttsx is a Python package supporting common text-to-speech engines on Mac OSX, Windows, and Linux. It currently supports SAPI5, NSSpeechSynthesizer, and espeak. It incorporates some SAPI tools. I know it uses Python, but I'm not sure how extensively.

If this is possible, what is the easiest way to get it to speak using Python. I need to have ne version that can be interupted with the next text to be spoken, and one that waits until the current speaking is finished before speaking the next message.
