Hi Jeff,
I opened up the event viewer a few days ago. I'll look there again. By
application logs, if you mean the Apache error log, yes. I got the error
code from there. I found a Wiki about MySql. It said that one of the issues
could be that the service is not starting and told me how to test using the
command line utility sc. I ran those tests. That's how I found out that the
problem was that the service is never starting. I'll have to wait until
tonight to get specific error messages to post.

Have you looked in the Windows Event viewer or Application logs?
