Actually, I think the money will go to some big company somewhere. I heard there's a business in this, buy some expiring names and sell them. I wish I knew the secret to get rich off of this, so they spend $8 apiece on these on average for a year, and I bet many they get stuck with. If you ended up letting it go to where it's pending delete, you may as well consider it gone for good.

wow. I called to make sure you didn't mishear or something, it's $3777. Looks like someone parked the domain and is selling it, so I wish them luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamal Mazrui" <empower@xxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, May 12, 2010 12:04 PM Subject: Re: FAQ for this listI have never had the BlindProgramming.com domain name. Jim Homme wanted to transfer it to me, but we could not get cooperation from the ISP to do this before the time period expired. For a while, the domain seemed to be owned by someone in Canada, without actually serving the subject area of blind programming. I just tried opening that address in a browser, and got the following message:"The domain blindprogramming.com is for sale. To purchase, call BuyDomains.com toll-free at 877-536-4051 or 1-339-222-5166."I called the toll free number and inquired about the price: it is over $3000!When I could not get BlindProgramming.com, I chose NonvisualDevelopment.org instead.Jamal On Tue, 11 May 2010, The Elf wrote:Date: Tue, 11 May 2010 18:09:09 -0700 From: The Elf <inthaneelf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: FAQ for this listnot that I recall, do you still have the blind programming domain? with razed eyebrow, elf proprietor, The Grab Bag, for blind computer users and programmers http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com Owner: Alacorn Computer Enterprises "own the might and majesty of a Alacorn!" custom made computers and peripherals to fit your needs! www.alacorncomputer.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamal Mazrui" <empower@xxxxxxxxx> To: <ProgrammingBlind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2010 1:43 PM Subject: FAQ for this listI recall that various list members have worked on a FAQ over the years.
