It should ... Do you know what generation the Celeron is? I am assuming since it is 500 MHz than it is a least the Pentium II core, possible a PIII. I have a partially bummed out 30GB drive that may still limp along enough to use. I can install SuSe Linux rather quickly on the 1GB portion and use the 30GB for the game content. I think I have a CD-ROM drive lying around that I can use as well. BTW ... the Demo server uses 214MB of storage while the retail server uses about 1.5GB (ouch). Oh .. and the retail game version takes up almost 3GB on your HDD (double ouch). As a last resort, I will lug home my work laptop and use it as a server. I already have the demo installed on it so I could bring it online rather quickly. I think I have all the parts to create a Pentium Celeron 500, 64MB (maybe 128MB) RAM, 1GB HD, NIC, Sucky Video Card, No Sound machine. I'll check around my basement to find out. Maybe I could "donate" it to the pittsburghquake group. I'll report back with my findings later. Before I search too hard... will the above configuration work? > >Well ..
