[PCWorks] what if you don't see any ports in device manager

I have been trying to get a pc based fax software to hookup to a pc
modem. The fax software finds a modem connected to port 13 but says it
is in use or another program is using it.(not exact words.)

I go to the device manager and select modem and it says all is working.

I have looked for Ports in the device manager but do not see any! I have
check the computer I am presently on and the ports are there. (com &
LPT) I am not sure that is my problem but it sure is strange.

Computer is using Windows XP by the way.

The printer is an all in one Lexmark X3350 and I have checked their site
to no avail.

Thanks
